why does my 1992 taurus almost stall when I come to a stop. If I put it in neutral before I stop the car does not stall. This happens intermittenly and the car can go fro a few mopnths without this happening, then when it does happen it can do it every time I stop or only once a day

Could possible the overdrive convertor is staying locked up and will be like coming to a stop in fourth gear with a manual trans without pushin the clutch in ....if it is like this a solenoid in trans is stickin and causing it to stay in overdrive ....
