indesit 1560v is making a loud noise?

my indesit 1560v is making a loud "clumping" noise when spinning. What's causing it and how do I fix it?

Just had these symptons on Indesit WI101, could be that one or more of the spider arms have fractured. The spider is out of sight and attaches the drum to the drum casing or tank. Plug out the machine for safety then rotate the drum by hand 1/4 turn at a time. Rock the drum up and down and at some point it should move 1/2 inch or so if the arms are fractured. If it has a one piece moulded plastic casing, the whole drum assembly has to be replaced. Price 150GBP or more for this part only. I purchased a new machine not an indesit. Made more sense. Major faults like this should not happen - bad design.

it sounds like your "drum" is away.basically,,your drum is held together at each "corner" by very strong elastic bands, and when one "snaps",,it will sound like a brick is inside it.you can get a replacement elastic band
but...engineers will charge a fotune for this as they will try n get you to buy a new machine.have a go your self...NO TRY,,NO FOUL
