BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH using a Samsung S1065?

Hello I am currently having problems with the installation of the above named camera on my desktop PC. The PC is a Dell 5100 running on windows XP home. The problem is after installing the driver disk I then connect the USB cable to the camera. As soon as I turn on the camera I get a "blue screen of death" screen which contains the following technical information: "STOP: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0xf79538eb, 0xf79537f4, 0xf79534f0)"
It then goes on to state that I should contact my hardware munufacturer to resolve the problem.Which Iv done to no avail, Iv uninstalled/installed etc this has happened with a previous camera that worked fine with no driver disk then one day the blue screen! My praktica dpix5200 cam works fine just not the above??
Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Yours Hopefully,
Mr D Beal.

Hi, back again.

I have found a fix to get your USBs working again

Use Windows Help to restore to a earlier setup - according to windows no actual data (files) will be lost but any installations after the restore date (i.e. the camera software) will be lost.

I did it and I'm up and running again.

Windows -> Start -> Help & Support -> Undo changes to your computer with System Restore

PS.
If your PC won't even start up like mine after installing the camera software, remove all USB devices inc cables then try to start it again. It should now boot up normally. You can then perform the above to get your usb ports working again

Good luck & hope this helps.

Hi, I have the same problem.
We bought my son a Samsung s1065 camera for christmas but when we installed the software and connected it the laptop crashed. Now all USB devices cause the laptop to crash.
Argos have refunded my money for the camera but have no solution to my crashing problem - hopefully someone will be able to help us.
