Ford Fiesta R registration 1.25 LX. My internal switch light comes on but the rear window does not defrost? The spades/contacts on the inside of the rear window are all ok and secure yet no defrosting takes place.

Please advise what do look for next and where there maybe a relay or switch in the car to examine?

check the copper contacts on the bottom of the boot edge at the top of the bumper. Also check the three copper pins that stick out of the hatch back door. As you look at car from behind they will be on off set toward the right (if that makes any sense).
The supply for the heated rear window goes through these contacts. If there dirty or stuck then no contact is made and no heated window !!
