How can I format my 1Gb kingston pendrive when I get the msg some utility of the pendrive is in use

Make sure no files are open when the pen is inserted. Try closing everything you can. It might even be a better idea to do it on another computer. Its likely other software is affecting the pen drive from being formatted. Either that or the pen drive is faulty
