the boot of my car will not stay up?

I have a vauxhall vectra, and recently the boot will not stay open. please help. john.

The gas struts that support the tailgate are basically weaker in very cold weather. You can either replace them, carry a length of wood the right length to prop the tailgate open or wait for summer!
