How can I fix the heater matrix in the Vauxhall Frontera 2.3L D intercooler?

The heater maxtrix on my Frontera seems to have an air-lock.
There is the sound off rushing/bubbling air inside the car, coming from the heater matrix, when I accelerate.
As a consquence, the heater on the car is not working properly.
How can I solve this problem.
The year of the car is '93. (diesel intercooler).

also further to my answer . if this does not work then you need to flush out the radiator. there are many flushing agents available.

drain the water from the radiater then fill very slowly.fill the expansion tank to the top.
run the engine for about 5 mins without the pressure cap on the expansion tank, kep topping up as required.
take the car for a run you need the tacho at at least 3,500rpm this should be about 70mph for about 30 miles this should bled all the air out of the system
