I recently fitted my veritas 8 alarm system, everything works fine apart from the front door contact, I keep getting an open circuit on this zone, if I short out the cables at the contact end the fault clears, and if I test the contact I get continuity but when I wire the contact in circuit i get open circuit.

Any ideas?

I've fixed it , the contact had a crack in the glass tube! Iv'e replace it , it seems to work ok for now!
