Sportcraft TX335 Treadmill?

It starts, goes about 8 steps then stops. Any idea why it's doing that?

Hello my machine will not come on,can’t start up the red light

How do I change the belt on a Sportcraft TX-335 treadmill. Runs great but starting to slip while walking and speeding up and then slowing down once in a while

John Rogers, August 2020
if it was the magnet, it wouldn't start at all. your problem sounds like the speed sensor. Once your machine stops after 7-8 seconds, does the number "3" appear in the distance field on your console? if so, error code 3 represents a problem with the speed sensor. to verify, remove the bottom front housing (4 screws). while NOT standing on the treadmill, hit the speed up button a few times to manually start the unit. now look between the motor control board and the walking belt...do you see that disc/wheel spinning in a strait line? or does it look like a car wheel with loose lug nuts?

To get machine to start-----A little magnet is needed to fit in the circular hole in the display area. The purpose is to shut off the machine in case you fall. The magnet is supposed to be attached to a circular red plastic insert for the hole. The insert is to be attached to a string which you hold. So if your hands break loose of the arms of the treadmill, the string will jerk the insert/magnet and the treadmill will stop.

The absense of the magnet is the probable reason the machine won't start.

To fix it, any little magnet will do. Tie it to a string of the appropriate length such that you can hole the other end of the string such that if your hand breaks loose, the string will pull the magnet out of the hole.

Remove the 4 screws that hold on the top cover. Inside on the right side of the treadmill right behind the electronic board you will find a plastic wheel that is attached to the horizontal bar. This speed wheel will beak over time due to poor manufacturing and design. You can order a new front bar and speed wheel already attached when delivered from the factory.

To remove the front bar is easy.
First, take the tension off of the belt by going to the rear of the treadmill and using a allen wrench unscrew the two black covers that protect the belt tensionier.
Second, after unscrewing the bolts, remove the front bolt that hold the front bar in place to the frame. You can now reverse the instructions and put the machine back together. If the error still occurs, you will need to replace the speed sensor located in front of the plastic wheel.

You can go to www.sportscraft.com and order the parts. They will ship the parts out the nest day via usps. Hope this helps.
