Remove the 4 screws that hold on the top cover. Inside on the right side of the treadmill right behind the electronic board you will find a plastic wheel that is attached to the horizontal bar. This speed wheel will beak over time due to poor manufacturing and design. You can order a new front bar and speed wheel already attached when delivered from the factory.
To remove the front bar is easy.
First, take the tension off of the belt by going to the rear of the treadmill and using a allen wrench unscrew the two black covers that protect the belt tensionier.
Second, after unscrewing the bolts, remove the front bolt that hold the front bar in place to the frame. You can now reverse the instructions and put the machine back together. If the error still occurs, you will need to replace the speed sensor located in front of the plastic wheel.
You can go to www.sportscraft.com and order the parts. They will ship the parts out the nest day via usps. Hope this helps.
