window winder handle removal?

I need to replace the rear door panel of a 1997 Ford Escort in order to do that I have to take off the window winder handle. How do you do that?

there is a clip behind the round center of the handle their is a tool for this! how ever it can be removed by pushin a cloth behind and pulling around the handle and away? the clip goes thru the cloth and comes away with it??
