Door microswitch on Hotpoint Aquarius TDC32 burned out. 3 spade connectors on microswitch, Brown/white from power inlet, thin brown to connector behind time switch, and Pink/white middle connector to main unit behind time control dial. Pink/white burned out. Can this microswitch be removed from system (bridged out), so dryer can work without causing fire risk etc???

mine has just burned out to all im finding is obsolete microswitch an bracket no longer available 5031-6832-7272-4 please help!??!

Not sure of the answer but the same has just happened to me. I have put better insulated connecters on the cables but the switch is broken. Did you get an answer on whether you can by-pass the switch or do you know where I can get a spare switch? I have just spent half an hour surfing but to no avail.
