no reversing lights come on whilst reversing my renault clio(1999). Could this be a fuse? if not what other part could it be and how would i go about fixing it?

It may be a fuse, but more likely the reversing light switch. This is located on the gearbox and can be seen from the the engine compartment with a wire coming out of it. Disconnect the wire, unscrew the switch and screw in the new one ensuring that it it seated correctly. Then reconnect the wire. Job done,
