When starting the car for the first time in a day, whether it be 1st thing in morning or late afternoon, turn the key but car will not start - usually starts after 2-3 attempts.
Could this be the Heater Plugs, if so, is it best to change all at the same time or if problem is only with 1, is it ok to just change 1

I think the car will have the same engine as my Zantia 1996 (XUD 1.9TD).
The plugs will warm and the coil light will go out on your dash...count to 4 after the light has gone out then try. The Plugs continue to heat after the light has gone out and should give you a bit more warmth to start the car.. If you have never changed the Glow plugs it is a faily easy job and they can be bought cheap from ebay. If it always starts 2nd 3rd time you have to weight up wether its worth the bother/expence of changing them.
