how do you check if a thermostat is faulty?

i have a beko cooker but am not sure if the thermostat is working correctly. the oven is heating up but not sure if the desired temp is being acchieved. how can you check the thermostat?

Difficult one really but I use a digital Thermometer with external probe for checking thermostat calibration but if suspect replace.
