Singer 9005 - bobbin releasing too much string?

I have a Singer 9005. After sewing, the top of the garment looks fine, but when I look on the underside, there is a massive amount of thread. What should I do?

Thank you, that is exactly what happened. I think my son moved the tension to 0 because suddenly in the middle of my project I started having problems. Thanks so much!

Hello Beth,
Make sure you have the top and bottom tensions set properly, make sure when you thread the machine that the presser foot is up, make sure the bobbin is in the correct way round, top tension about 5
