Our gas hob has a cover. When you lift it up it allows the gas to come in. When you close it downit shuts off the gas shutoff valve.

It is not allowing enough gas in to light all four burners at the same time. It will only allow two burners to light and only with a small flame (and this is only after squeezing the gas shutoff valve area.

Hi Everyoe,
I have a 8yr old Magic chef / Maytag gas stove. The range top is supposed to be a sealed unit, however it leaks flames from under the burner. Is there a gasket set that I could replace ? And how can I get it apart?

The pin will have stuck.Sounds daft but try and get some vaseline rubbed into the valve assbly and lift the lid up and down a few times and hopefully it will release the pin.A very similar thing happens on Multipoint water heaters.
