Removing the chuck on a Dewalt DC759?

when removing the chuck on the dewalt dc759 is it left or right hand threads

This is not an answer but the same problem with a Porter Cable 14vt hammer drill. The instructions describe the same method of removing the chuck, after banging on the allen wrench counter clockwise the chuck will not budge. I tried wd40 but no luck any other ideas?

There is a screw down inside the chuck that you have to take out first and it is a left handed thread. Then take the chuck off and it is a right handed thread.
Just in case you need further instruction....take off the chuck and take a large single allen wrench and tighten the short end into the old chuck. Then hit the other end with a hammer counter clockwise (right handed thread) to remove chuck.
Good luck!

Forgot to add - The chuck comes off counter-clockwise.

The screw will be reverse-thread, meaning you will want to turn it clockwise to remove it. Here is a great link with instructions on removing a cordless drill chuck...
