compatible adapters?

I have an acer laptop from America will it be ok for me to use an adapter bought here

If you mean a power plug in, then make sure it's one provided by the manufacturer of your laptop. Just because the plug fits, doesn't mean that it'll work.

If you want, try to find the power requirements (Voltage/Wattage) for your laptop on the manufacturer's webpage. If the power supply (If it is indeed a power supply you're speaking of) matches (Look on the converter, the box in the middle of the wires), then yes, you can use it.

I still say only use one made for your laptop by the manufacturer though. Incorrect power can seriously ruin your computer components.
