water in carburator?

my carburator on my lawn mower got so much water it that it went into engine or so i believe & i wanted to know if i take the oil plug off it would come out, or where did it go from there? any advice would be greatly apreciated thanks.

If the intake valve happened to be open at the time the water may have entered the cylinder. I would change the oil just in case it did. You don't give the engine model number so I don't know what type of carb your talking about. If the carb has a float bowl, it should be removed and cleaned out. If it's a tank mounted suction type carb it won't have a float bowl. I would also drain and clean the fuel tank.
