Chances are there is a break in the wire lead it is common and repairable. The insides of the GHD's are fairly bomb proof. They tend to go around the rubber flex as it comes out of the handle but what you need to do is carefully wiggle the whole wire from the plug to the handle and see if the light comes on an off in any particular spot. Once found just cut strip back and preferably solder repair otherwise you will have to strip and twist the wires together and make sure you tape the repaired wires seperately then together. Obviously blue to blue brown to brown.
