are the schreiber apm6855 and the diplomat apm6855 the same unit

Yes they are the same.
They do tend to ice up and stop the fridge working.

I hope you have not fitted a schreiber APM6855 for someone they are very bad quality only last up to two years then you have to replace thermo coil as fridge stops cooling
