My washing machine won't perform the draining part of the cycle. This doesn't happen every time - sometimes it works perfectly.

Have you checked the filter at the bottom of the machine? mine was doing the same thing, until I found several items, and lots of lint in the filter, been fine since.

have you checked the filter lately? if its blocked with fluff, pocket stuff or hairbands that will cause this. if the filter is clean, try taking the hoses off both parts of the drain pump....i found one of my sons socks in the pipe leading to the drain pump-saved me £30 for a new pump!
