Remove the Fin Plate from of the blower shaft on a Little Wonder?

Hi,

I have a Little Wonder leaf blower. Model 9005PD
Serial #: 8700614 - Engine numbers: 130202 - (Type # 1670-01) - (Data Code – 87012907)
The piston rod needs to be replace and I'm not sure how first to remove the Blower Fan Plate from the shaft?
From the outside, it has a threaded nut before the shaft and appears to me that if I screwed in a 3/4" bolt it might push shaft away from the Fan. Is this correct? Is the Fan Plate keyed in?
Also, once that is removed, there is a large bushing between the housing and motor, how is that removed?

Thanks for you help.

What your describing is the flywheel, it is on a taper on the end of the crankshaft. If it has a recoil starter the starter clutch must be removed first. If there is no starter clutch remove the nut. Once the starter clutch or nut are removed you should see the end of the shaft and the key that locates it.
It takes a special puller to remove the flywheel. Briggs does NOT recommend it, but the flywheel can be removed by putting the nut on the shaft to protect the threads and sharply rap it with a hammer. Do not pry on the underside of the flywheel.
