Had the same issue, did as suggested by Mal above and the pump stopped.
Had water all over the floor though when the machine was tilted, is this the expected result?

It is the anti-flood switch situated at the base. Just mop out the water and it will work.

I had exactly the same problem. Just do the old flood reset trick. Tip the machine on its side and drain the water from the tray underneath. It should work.

It's two of us. Exactly same thing on my AEG 6150. With wall power on water pump keeps pumping out whatever you do. I couldn't find anything in repair-yourself sites. Someone can help us?
