i have a 1.8 td lx and starts up no problem but every so often it misfires and lacks power please can you help

i have losened injector pipes one by one and alters the sound of the engine will it be the injector pump over injecting the fuel

probably needs new injectors or injector pipes are blocked try some diesel injector cleaner first and see if it helps if it improves you know one of the above is the problem.
