My Nuvi 660 keeps saying aquiring satellites all the time. Then it says it has trouble tracking satellites. Are you indoors, (even when I am not) It will not pick any up. How can I rectify this please?

I've got the same problen with my 660. most of the time it sits in the car using a external aerial. I recently removed it to use in another car and it reported no sat reception.
I'm going to buy a garmin external aerial (about £10.00), shorten the lead to a couple of inches and glue it to the top of the flip up aerial.

I've been having the same problem with my 660. It's just over a year old and I'm not a happy camper with it. I read that a diode will malfuction because of heat. This diode tells the unit if an external antenna is attached. When the unit can not find the sats, and no external antenna is attached, the unit goes tits up.
I bought an antenna off of ebay and will give that a try. If it works...great, if not, I'll get a TomTom.
