Cambelts are a 'critical' item for your engine. If you are new to doing mechanical work I would strongly suggest you start on something less critical. If you've done some general servicing before then you will know that you can't afford to get the cam belt anything other than 'spot on' in every way. I have changed several cambelts but NEVER without having a manual to make sure I don't foul up! Get a Haynes.
