well a year later i thought i had the problem solved, turns out auto choke is knackerd so it looks like the warmer weather came and bike liked it last year thanks for all help dylan and all... i have since bought a new bike !!

btw often when its cold you find it is damp aswell, slip the spark lead off dry both the plug and lead. and give that a bash., have a vivacity and had that one problem all thru the winter:(

same here. can be really embarassing when it won't idle properly when cold. i've had the automatic choke out and you can unscrew part of it so the needle isn't sticking out as much, therefore letting more fuel through. then when the choke warms up the gap closes. seems to help starting up but very sluggish until it is fully warmed up. it's just finding the right compromise between better cold starting and better performance...

wish i'd bought something better now, if you're thinking of buying a ped DON'T GET A PEUGEOT!!!

hey fester just had an email from peugeot they reckon it`s probably the automatic choke

Dylan, February 2009
fester just trying to pin the problem down it may be the automatic choke not working properly
i have also tried spark plug just put it in today will see what happens

dylan, I have the same problem and also looking for an answer, i have been told to clean the air filter and replace it I have also been told to turn a tick over screw up a bit to make it run a bit faster and it still doe's the same and cut out. I did replace the spark plug when it 1st started to mess around and it was ok for about a week maybe two then the problem started again. god dammit takes me 10/15 mins to get going sometimes lol must be a common fault ?
