Tip the machine onto its side, remove the bottom drain hose from the outer drum. Works best if you tip it onto the side that leaves the opening nearest the floor and you'll probably see the wire through the opening. If not, rotate the drum slowly by hand until you can. It can usually be removed with a piece of blu-tac on a wire.
