Kenmore canister vacuum - how do I open the shell?

I need to get at to get at the cord rewind? Where are the screws or other fasteners that hold the shell together?

Open the bag door cover and keep opening it until you think it will break. It will pop out completely, giving you access to two screws. the other two are under the plastic part that you step on to retract the cord. voila!
