I am doin an assignment for college please help me!!!!!!!?

I am doing an assignment which entails designing an electric kettle switch that will turn the kettle off when it reaches 70 degrees C. and can keep it at a constant temperature of 70 degrees C. Could you please give me any relevent information so i can complete my assignment. Thankyou very much for your time.

I would suggest refining your specification so that it reaches a temperature of 70 degrees, sounds a whistle and flashes a light, holds the temperature for a short time (One minute?), then switches off, while flashing a warning light while it's still hot.
Anonymous looking HOT devices are a safety hazard, especially in a domestic environment.
