how do i replace a thermostat on a rover 400?

how do i replace a thermostat on a rover 400, I have purchased a new one but am unsure where to look to locate the thermostat & how to replace it .
many thanks for any help .

back of engine low down behind water pump in black plastic pipe off bottom hose,3 8mm bolts two 13mm bolts,very fiddly

Thermo housing should be somewhere off you top rad hose. Follow hose to engine. You'll also need to use some gasket sealant paste or a thermo gasket when replacing new one. Drain system down & use a 50-50 anti freeze mix.
