hi, i'm having trouble with electric roof. the bit the roof goes under lifts up, when i press the button but that's it. It does make a noise as if the motor is trying to work. What should I be checking and where? I don't know how to check the fluid either for this.

Gary, wish I had the answer, this is just to say my 96 Audi just started the same problem today. The first stage operates, but when it's time for the stowage lid to lift, it stops, and like you it still sounds like the motor is running. If this helps, there is a reservoir under the motor in mine and the fluid level is ok, but how to top it up isn't obvious. Can't get a haynes manual for mine? If any one has come back to you I'd be glad of any tips
