i have had installed model AAA1473 hob, there is power to it but when i put it up to number 9 a sort of u shape symbol is displayed and there is no heat, could someone check the manual and see if this can be put right. also if someone has the manual they could copy for me i would be happy to pay for this.

You need to have pans which are suitable for use on induction hobs. It will say so on the packaging and possibly on the bottom of the pan. If you sre trying to use old pans, these probably wont't work. I had the same problem and had to buy a new set of pans.
