Chrysler Neon Immobilser stuck & No key fob??!!?

Just bought a car 1996 Chrysler Neon LE Auto 2.0, the guy drove it to me, I thought all was well, he explained I needed to click this switch a couple of times to disarm the immobiliser, but what I didn't get was I had to wait until the flashing light had gone solid red, so I tried to start the car after a couple of clicks and now I cannot start it at all, the red light keeps flashing and will not go solid red, the car just came with 2 ordinary keys and having read the manual after the event it seems I should have had some sort of device attached to the keys to disarm the immobiliser. it seems this guy had no trouble starting it to get it to me, but I think my actions have mucked it up, what can I do? Is there anyway I am going to be able to get this car started?

have the same problem, is it treu that if you cut all cabels en put them back together without the immobilser that you can start it normaly ?

A more permanent cheaper solution is to place a pushbutton switch in where fuse number 3 should be in the fuse box, This means you will have to remove the siren so it doesn't go off all the time, and when you do remove the siren be sure to have something to muffle it as it has a backup battery and lasts about 30 minutes!
You will loose the function of your remote central locking but its a small price for mobility again!
First pull out fuse 3 in the fusebox near the drivers door, pop the bonnet and cut the siren wires, should be about 5 in total black in colour.
You wont need the siren anymore so if you want to dunk it in a bottle of water or smash it up with a large hammer do so now lol!
Install a push to connect switch, available from maplin electonics, in a convenient place, i would suggest passengers side of the steering wheel area.
Run 2 wires from the switch to where each blade of fuse number 3 goes in, use small spade crimp connections to insert the wires into the slots.
turn your key to accessory then as you crank the motor press the switch at the same time and your car will start up.

Hope this helps

as a temporary solution, take fusebox cover off, locte the immoblilser fuse (yellow one), pull it out, and GENTLY wiggle it back in its hole until the red light stays on solidly, should start then.

i am not a car thief, lol

Try the 'Auto Key Centre' in Newcastle, I have just got a replacement key with an immobiliser fob from them.
Dealer price £150 , the Auto Key Centre £69.
They have a web site.

Good luck.
