My sunroof was leaking after i had the suspension arm replaced! READ ON......
From the sunroof in the MKII clio (99 - 2008) there is a drain which runs down into the wheel arch - this is where the problem is!
i took the sunroof out by unclipping the bracket by the drivers LEFT shoulder and tilting the pane to 90 degreed and it lifts out (push the red retaining clip on the handle to release the mechanism!) no need to undo the torx screws!
Check the drain is free and clear by pouring water down it, it should come out by the front wheels. if this doesnt happen, the drain is blocked!
Turn the engine on and turn the wheels to the Right, (as far as they will go) turn off the engine!
Find the panel behind the drivers side wheel which protects the drivers footwell, put your hand up behind the cover and you will find a Rubber bung/cover, if you push the flange up, you will release all the water blocked up in the drain, remove the rubber bung (its not needed) and the water should now flow freeley down the drain now.
Go back to the sunroof and pour water down the drain again and it should pour out by the wheel.
by clearing the drain it stops the water back washing up the drain and spilling out into the two wholes where the sunroof hinges insert into their bedding!
I did mine last nioght and no problems now!
it seems that when they replaced the arm, the mechanics had to remove the coverings and may have pushed the flange back inside itself, **OR** renault create these faults in order to increase consumable parts sales? hmm?
