HOW CAN I FIX MY RENAULT SCENIC 1.9 DCI?

I HAVE A RENAULT SCENIC II, AND I HAVE A STRANGE CREAKING NOISE COMMING FROM THE FRONT SUSPENTION WHEN I GO OVER A SPEED BUMP.I HAVE TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL GARAGE BUT THEY SAY THAT THEY CANNOT SEE ANYTHING WRONG. ANY IDEAS WHERE THE PROBLEM MAY BE. IT MUST BE AUDABLE FROM OUTSIDE THE CAR AS I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE GLANCE AT ME WHEN I GO OVER THE SPEED BUMPS AROUND MY AREA. IT DOES NOT SEEM TO MAKE A NOISE WHEN TRAVELLING ALONG THE ROAD, JUST WHEN THE SUSPENTION IS REALY FLEXING.

what was problem

It could be the floppy dust/dirt covers on the front suspension struts rubbing against the piston when the struts are compressed & extended

also check the anti roll bar bushes that locate in the lower arm, this cause's knocking noise over slight uneven roads. replacement bushes available either 24 mm or 23 mm, use the 23 mm if rollbar end worn.

it could be the antiroll bar inner bushes, disconnect the antiroll bar links on both struts and move the antiroll bar up and down and see if if produces the noise, replace them if it does.another common noise actually comes from the os engine mount having colapsed and causing excess vibration in the passenger compartment and noise over bumps.
