have had this problem for some time now,but becomes an intermittent display on the lcd panel.have checked filter and replaced,light stayed off for 2 days but has returned.there is no loss of power and no exsesive smoke,i have been told that it may be the addetive that needs to be topped up,have also been told that this is an exspensive cost ????
can anyone give me some info.milage 42k

I have had this problem and had a new adative unit fitted cost over £500 from a main dealer a short time after about 2 months the same fault code... diesel filter blocked. a friend put me in touch with a vehical mech who had the latest dianostic kit and found it was the sensor and replaced it which cured the fault but there is some additional things to do.
