due to a power faliure i replaced a dud battery on my veritas 8 alarm since following the intruction from a question i found on this site i have replaced the battery using reset 4321 but i cannot arm the alarm now and the tamper led and unset led are both lit when we type in 4321we have to hit full but the alarm just bleeps and does not arm any help is greatly appreciated

Downpower system battery and mains , power back up within 10 seconds press rest button panel should default . Use code 1234 Engineer 4321 however panel can be locked by previous engineer in which case you will require his/her code before reattempting. Hope this helps.

the user code does nothin either we tried it just bleeps and does not arm and the tamper and unset led r still on

That code is the default Engineer Code, it will not set/turn on the alarm.

The User Code sets/turns on the alarm.
