Our Zanussi Jetstream 1200 FJR1254 W fills and empties, but the drum, though free to turn is not activated, so the programme halts itself. The belt is not displaced.
remove and check the motor brushes as they may be worn out.anything around 10mm needs replacing.for a short term fix/test pull the carbon brush out of the holder and stretch them. refit to motor and see if it now turns.if it does get new brushes asap or you could cause motor comms failure and expensive repair
