BOSCH WTA 2000 very noisy when drum is turning?

Over the past several weeks the above appliance has become increasingle noisy when drying.

At first it was only in one direction but now it is on both directions and is VERY loud.

Don't know much about tumble dryers but am willing to give anything a go

Could it be the bearing on the motor or some bushes ?

Any adice would be greatly appreciated

Sparky,
Thanks for the response,

I opened the machine up and tested the motor stand alone as i thought it might be the bearings,

Motor was fine.

Attached to the motor is a plastic fan that a bit had broken off and was trapped within the couling of the dryer.

removed debris and replaced the fan £14.99 and eveything is fine

Hi Derek!
Although not familiar with the machine it may be around the front area as many manufacturers use a heat resistant felt between the drum and front panel. The drum sits on this when turning. If the felt disintegrates you then get metal to metal contact followed by loud scraping noise.
Just an idea.
