How do I fix the recoil pull rope on my snow blower?

The pull rope broke on my snow blower. How do i fix it? I know I have to remove the pull rope housing but how do I getit to recoil back?

once you remove the housing you crank the recoil tension all the way back as far as it can go. then with a screw driver placed between the bracket as a wedge, you hold that tension. making sure that the reel and rope hole is a a lined. then you take a match a burn the pull rope on the end, using a glove on your hand."shape the rope to a point so that you can feed it threw the bracket hole and the reel hole. The last thing you do is make a knot on the end of rope. then take the screw driver out. you are done!

You have to wind the rope pulley (after you put on the new rope) a couple times before guiding the rope end through the starter housing.
