It depends on which password has been set. If it is the Windows password then take the laptop a computer shop with proof of ownership and ID and they will be able to help you.
If it is the password embedded in the security chip then it cannot be undone. The fix is to fit a new motherboard. This is deliberately done in order to render stolen laptops into scrap.
Finally, I have no intention of disclosing on an one forum how to negate PC security and I hope that no one else will as it is recipe for increasing the number of stolen laptops.
