Ford Galaxy cruise control question?

I have a 1999 V reg Galaxy Ghia X and the cruise control does not work at all. Are there any lights that are meant to appear on the dash when i turn the cruise control on? I have been told the system is controlled by vacuum and the pipe may be perished. Where do i find this pipe? Thanks in advance for any help.

if memory serves the vacuum pipe you are looking for is behind the left-front indicator lens along with the pump. the pipe is bound to be split. i cant understand people not answering your question but trying to get you to join some owners club!
