its a valve problem and its located in the tank

The 50/50 vinegar and water solution worked for me .
just run it through the iron nad keep clicking the steam switch until the solution is gone.
then refilled with water and run it through the iron using the same method and the switch started working again.

happydays !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost certainly problem is scale stuck in steam valve. This can be cleaned with care by removing solenoid valve (on boiler) & unscrewing valve cover. May need to de-scale as well. Faulty switch/solenoid means no steam!

Have the same problem continuously streams. It has to be valve that releases the steam.

Is the valve on the tank or in the iron, would think the valve is on the tank as I don't think the pipes are pressurised.

If the micro switch is broken then the valve should shut when the power is off, BUT on mine you can fill the tank and lower iron and the water flows through and out of the Iron.

My thoughts are value is stuck open by scale or is just broken.

Now to find the valve.
