Cannon Foldaway Electric Eye Level Grill needs new element and simmerstat?

This eye level electric grill was produced by Cannon Industries Ltd Bilston Staffs. in the 60's, I used to work for them and was given it as a leaving present. It was known a I/U 2 (Independant unit model 2, IU/1 was the gas model). It has been well used but now sorely missed. The element, 3000 watt radiant heat has now packed up and the simmerstat that controls it is not working properly.

TP Fay of Liverpool made a new one for ours. They are excellent people.

Yet another interested party in the same item but unfortunately no answer as yet

Look forward to the missing part becoming available somehow for this terrific item

Two years later!
My electric element failed because it simply broke, the wire came apart. I rejoined it at one end and is now working again. I also have a working gas model attached atop my Cannon cooker.

Absolutely brilliant grill/rotisseries.

I may have the very thing you are looking for. It is a new product called hi-GRILL and is a high level, foldaway, wall mounted, electric grill. Look at www.hi-grill.co.uk.

I have the same problem. My Cannon Foldaway (presumably) requires a new heating element.
Did Mr Cable find anyone to help
