my car has no power?

i have just bought a vauxhall vectra 1.8 16v ls

it has no power and does not make any sound when i try to start it up.

i have recharged the battery fully and this still is not making anything happen.

i was told it could be something to do with the fuses but which one would make all the power work in the car?

please help

my car has 3 fuse boxes under the bonnet

The big fuse, most likely in the fuse box under the bonnet.

The vectra has 3 fuse boxes, 1 under bonnet, 1 in passenger side, 1 in boot.

Also, check the wiring onto your starter and alternator, and the main earth from battery and engine to the body, if 1 of these is corroded / loose, you'd get the same simptoms.
