took the seat switch out and disconnected it,same problem,I think I have to buy a voltage meter&test each switch on frame.thanks for your help,bob

I have the same problem,engage clutch pedal&stall the motor.could it be another switch going bad.has run great for 6 1/2 yrs.

Hi There
Have a snapper LT-200 Series,how do you check the saftey seat switch get off the seat and it still runs when you tie the wires it changes the engine speed but still wont shut down.

That problem is usually caused by a bad under-seat switch, or it is disconnected. It's a pretty common problem.
