renault megane 1.6 authenique coil pack?

i have a renault megane 1.6 authentique. i was washing the car today and decided to clean the engine bay.i left the engine running as i done this.i used the a hose pipe and some engine degreaser. an hour later my girlfriend used the car. she complained that the car was very sluggish and that the engine management light was on. i checked all the connection and blew out some water on the coil pack plugs. i removed all the coil packs and when i reached the third one it was very wet and when i looked where the spark plug is i seen loads of water. i used a syringe and tubing to remove all the excess water. i throughly dried the coil pack and refitted everything. i drove the car for a mile and this has improved the problem. the engine light flashed once but the car is still sluggish as if it is not firing on all cylinders.will this sort out by itself after a good run or will i have to buy a new coil pack?

Hi I tried doing this, on one of my cars, NOT a good idea! A lesson well learnt, try taking off the distributor cap and clean this with dry lint free cloth, more than likely this has a small amount of water in it or is just damp. And all should be good again! Hope this helps?
