what's the easiest way to change my oil pan gasket on 94 caddy seville sls?

i have a 94 cadillac seville sls with a v8 northstar engine and i took it to a couple of mechanics and they said that it would be a 2hr job and would cost around $500 because they would have to raise the engine. so, i was wondering what would be the easiest way to do it if i just did it myself. taking in mind that i can work with tools a little bit.

Sounds cheap to me .....used to work @ cad dealership and some of the oil leaks on them could cost up to 1500 dollars...
have to pull trans ect on some to seal engine up correctly.
Make sure where oil is coming from ...north stars engines are in halves not like your regular engines ..just replacing oil pan might not correct your problem.
